Selector, yes that was correct, but I unplugged the throttle from the base station and tried it wireless again and as for now its working properly. Maybe there was something shorting the track that I cleared without even realizing it. At least it sounds good.
It sounds like the system is still detecting a problem and wants to shut down....not sure. Maybe a melted and spread solder joint if something got too hot until the original shutdown. It isn't battery related, surely, and you have cleared what you think is the problem, but your display/system is still shutting down quickly after you restore power. Is that correct?
That battery situation sounds OK to me. Mine is the same way.
Have you powered down and then started up the system again?

Nevermind....
maxman Ergo the benefits of having at least one place to plug in the handset. Update: I plugged the throttle into base station and it works fine. New question, could the problem be with the antenae?

I have a NCE Pro Cab w/ wireless throttle which has been working fine until today. I was running a train which derailed at a turnout across the room from me so I hit the red emerency stop button went over to the engine rerailed it, and now the LED screen keeps going blank. If I hit the red stop button a few times the throttle comes back to life only to go blank again after several seconds. I thought it might be the batteries (they are new, less than a week old) but they almost seem too long and they want to pop out while I'm trying to put the cover back on, when I do get it closed and the screw tightened the cover seems to have a slight buldge in the middle. Pushing down on the cover does not cause the throttle to come back to life. I can't figure out what to do, and NCE is closed today. Any ideas?
