I have some Walthers Ready-To-Run 1956 Santa Fe El Capitan Hi-Level cars. I would like to install light and sound. Walthers light kit for Hi-Level cars has cold white light (for my opinion). It looks like fluorescent lamp not incandescent bulb. Anybody know what kind of light installed in original Santa Fe Hi-Level cars in 1956?
I reassembled Walthers Hi-Level Diner and tried to install speaker on one of the ends of the car (original - equipment space). But all lower part of the model occupied by metal plates.
Last Walthers Santa Fe El Capitan 1954 cars has Tsunami Sound Car decoders. What is the location of decoder and speaker in this cars?

Those cars would have had fluorescent lighting in them when built. ANd definitely not modern types with different color termperatures and improved CRI. The harsh light from bluish-white LEDs is pretty close, a golden white type LED would b wrong for the main lights in the car.

I'll leave that for someone else that may have some of these cars, as I don't have any - or ANY passenger cars actually, although once my layout gets going I will need a few. My previous layout modeled a branch that had no passenger service already by my 50's era, but modeling a larger segment of the railroad, I can't justify having 0 passenger traffic. For now though I am a freight-only guy.
