I reset my Loksound v3.5 micro to defaults, and lost the sound.
I don't have a Lokprogramer, is there any other way to install a sound file on a Loksound?

Mark will know better but there are some OEM sound projects out there that weren't set properly to retain the sounds through a reset - if yours is one of them, then no, the sounds are gone and you need a Lokprogrammer to restore them. Good news is updated versions shouldn't have this problem since ESU took time to explain to OEMs how to properly set things.

Randy has it. Unfornately, early version decoders were set with the default settings before the sound file was installed. So, doing a reset, sets it back to the configuration before the sound file was installed. Hence, no sound file.
Truth be known, the software (sound) is still loaded in the decoder, but the reset has configured the decoder back to a point where the decoder can't access it.
Too bad there isn't an un-do reset in decoders ....
