Well you know how the story goes, I went to an auction this week and won the Ungar 4624 solder/desolder for $75+ fees! I was using it 3 days later, and then I knocked it off the table and BOOM it's hits the floor. There is no sign of damage but no power at all. I've looked at the 3AMP/250V fuse and see no damage. I will be buying a new fuse tomorrow.Are there any easy fixes?
Seems way too much to pay for something that old. The most recenetly sold one on eBay went for $44 when the seller accepted a best offer. What hit the floor, the whole unit or just the handpiece? Probably cracked the heating element in the handpiece if it hit the floor. Based on some Google searches it seems replacements are hard to find. If the whole thing hit the floor - might have cracked the circuit board if it has one. Look in areas around the heavier components, that is where the most stress would be placed on things.

Thank you for trying to help me. I've found that the fews times I've asked for help at my local train store they were more than willing to help. I'm not surprised someone replied here within a day! I've fixed the broken soldering station by removing the housing and reattaching the fuse wire. What a simple fix! As for the eBay "Make Offer" sale, if it's the one I saw, it was only the unit. My unit came with both guns. I bought 2 Ungar 4624 station with all attachments for $110+ fees, but had already gave the second one away. It may be a high price but there wasn't any cheaper options I coud find.
