Members: I recently purchased one of the subject uncouplers to test it for use on the layout. It does come with a wiring harness however, the location of the unit is further from the control panel that the encosed wiring will allow. The unit has a terminal block (Kaifeng #KF141V) to make it easier to attach longer wires to. The terminal block is a light green color approx 1/2 inch square with slots for wires and above those slots are orange levers that (I assume) snap down to complete the connection. My question is: Does one strip the insulation off the wires that are inserted in the block? Thanks for all your help.

Down at the bottom is has a line that says "Strip Length 11 mm." I assume that means yes, you need to strip the wires.
Or, you could test it first with unstripped wires and see if it works, and if not, strip them. Looking at the picture, it does not look like the clamping mechanism is strong enough to cut through insulation.

I have some other devices with these connectors. The wires do need to be stripped.

I missed that line on the web site. My bad and my apologies. Thank you both for your assistance.
