Caboose Industries ground throws and signals

Has anyone used a caboose industries ground throw with a signal? I was thinking, ( always dangerous ), one could use a ground throw like a 220s with signals.

I have not. I use the 202S as a manual ground throw. When I want to power signals, I use the internal switch contacts on Tortoises.

Have you seen this link from Caboose Industries on powering the 220S?

I use a 220s ground throw to power leds in a dwarf two position signal to show turnout position. The led cathodes are connected to the negative lead of a power supply and the positive lead to the common of the 220s. The remaining 220s contacts are used to connect to the appropriate leads of the leds via a resistor. The 220s are a little bit fiddly to assemble but once assembled work well. I aslo use them to provide turnout position indication on a couple of control panels.

Rich   I have read the info on the web site

Joe   That is what I would want signals to indicate turnout position, at the most 3 signals I want some iinfo before I jump into it, but it sounds like it can be done.

Electrically it is just a SPDT switch that mechanically moves the points.

I've considered doing this also.  The contacts look a little delicate, but once installed (I have 2" foam) they ought to be pretty well protected.
