Sounds electrical and not turnout related.

A diagram of the wiring to the main track and turn around track wiring will save us a couple pages of questions and answers.  There are specific rules to post a pic in the forum in a "Sticky' in the general forum.

You cannot just wing it and expect us to see the pic.

Forgot, welcome to the forum.  Your 1st 10 post are moderated.  If you manage not to sell us any Russian brides, that goes away.

By "turn around" do you mean a wye track. If so then you need to be able to reverse the polarity in the leg of the wye. Are you running DCC or DC?

Likewise, if a reversing loop, same thing applies.

HELP, Kato Unitrack Turnouts!

HELP
Kato Unitrack Turnout problem
I have a pretty good size layout, 17'X23' with near 600’ of N scale track. I have used #6’s & #4’s on my layout already; I choose to Not use power routing on the #4’s & moved the screws. I have a total of 9 “Working” turnouts.
My problem area is a turn around, I want a turnout to another section & I have tried ( 3 ) different #6’s—all NEW & yesterday replaced with a #4. All produce the same problem, the loco’s die as soon as they cross the insulated joiner.  I have power at the entrance of the turnout & both exits have insulated joiners & then a power drop in the next piece of track from the turnout.
All other turnouts are setup exactly the same way. My entire track in clean as possible, I have no stalls, no hesitation w/loco’s. One other note I do run consist of 2 & or 3 loco’s., but as I mentioned they roll through the other turnouts just as smooth as I would expect.

HELP, what in the world am I doing wrong & or what else to try???
