Atlas NJ Transit Cab Car - decoder instalation
Posted by Arras88 on Thursday, May 11, 2017 5:11 AM

Hello,

Has anyone installed a decoder in Atlas NJ Transit Bi-level Cab car?
Out of the box with an analog plug inside all lights are on in DCC system.
After installing the decoder:
1. white/red lights work good.
2. Ditch lights - one is controlled by F1, the second by F2. I have to re-map function. It is understandable.
3. However, I have no lights in the car at all. None of Fx turns lights in the car on. Atlas doesn't provide any manual. I am a little confused.

BTW
What is a proper configuration for NJ Transit? Should ditch lights flash alternately with the horn ? Or stay lit all the time?

The guy that worked on these is on vacation, but I was able to get a quick reply from him "

I’m pretty sure F8 turns on the lights.  F6 should be ditch lights.  Everything should work once an ESU decoder w/software is installed. "
