I previously asked about adding jump wires to Atlas Snap turnouts to avoid stalling. Though I haven't soldered any wires in, just putting the wires in place told me things were improved. Since the layout has a questionable lifespan, not sure if I will solder or not.
This question is: Do Atlas' #ed turnouts (4's and 6's) need the same wires installed to avoid stalling? Would be much easier to add them before putting the turnout on the layout.

I have not had that kind of problem with the few Atlas #6 turnouts on my layout, but if I were to do it again I would drive them with Tortoises instead of Atlas above-table machines, and I would power the frogs.
I've done this with all of my Walthers-Shinohara turnouts and they perform beautifully.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Atlas customline turnouts, both exit paths after the frog are powered no matter what the points setting. They are jumpered under the black pot-metal frog. No need to do anything to them.

Thanks for the responses, I was hoping improvements were the case.
Hadn't considered the Tortoise machines, as most are planned to be manual throws. May consider it if there is a hard to reach turnout.
