Odds are it doesn't matter as both Soundtrax Bachmann OEM decoders use the same files as far as CV's and features are concerned.

As far as which is High Boiler and which is Low Boiler, maybe someone can help figure that part out.

Identifying correct decoder when using decoder pro
Posted by wdcrvr on Monday, September 19, 2016 6:47 PM

I have just started trying to build my roster (only 6 engines) in decoder pro.  I am not sure if I am choosing the right decoder from the listing that is provided.  I read CV 7 and CV 8 on each loco to help the process but still don't feel sure that I have them listed correctly.  One problem is that I have a Bachmann 4-4-0 Richmaond Modern and a Bachmann 4-4-0 Baldwin Modern but when I look at the CV 7 and 8 I end up with a choice of 4-4-0 Low Boiler or 4-4-0 High Boiler.  I don't know how to figure that out.  Anyone out there have any help to offer or someplalce where I can find the answers I need?

Thanks
