I have installed the NCE USB interface, the drivers for the interface and made all of the proper connections from laptop to interface to NCE to track, etc. The loco on the track is operational, sound is working, and my Power cab has control. My laptop tell me the device (usb interface is properly connected and working. Decoder pro comes up and looks fine. But then I get little red messages at the bottom of the initial screen saying "Service Mode Programmer NCE is offline" and Operation Mode Programmer NCE is offline" Also when I try to add a new loco and ask it to read the loco it give me an error code 301 "no locomotive detected".
PLEASE HELP!!
I cannot get into the NCE users group because Yahoo has locked me out for some unkown reason for the next 12 hours. Maybe because I have not logged into Yahoo for a long time.
Thanks

You may want to make sure your programming track works ok before using the computer. Maybe you've already done this. I had a similar problem and found that I had a bad connection. I hooked my programming track up and then started by just using the paddle to read the decoder manufactuter It failed. Then I pulled all the connections until I found that the culprit was a bad wire on my programiming booster. Once I solved that, Decoder Pro worked like a charm.
