Digitrax Decoder Not Consisting Properly on NCE System
Posted by CPMike on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 7:14 PM

I recently acquired an HO Scale Atlas Silver Series GP40 from a friend, equipped with a Digitrax DH165IP decoder.

This decoder funtions without any issues when using the locomotive on its own. However, when I try adding the locomotive to an Advanced Consist on my NCE system (Basic Power Cab model), the locomotive runs at a much slower than normal speed and is  essentially dragged by the other units in the consist. Has anyone else had this issue?

I've tried reseting the decoder to factory settings and it still has the same problem.

Wondering if I am missing something, need to change some CV's, or just flat out need to get an NCE decoder to avoid issues.

Any help is much appreciated!!
