Above comments noted, so if you have 2 yellow wires to the loop, 2 red wires to the mainline and the appropriate gaps and the engine doesn't run when placed in the loop, then there is no power.

Either the wires have a poor connection coming or going to the unit or the unit is not putting out power.

I am not familiar with the MRC module but the online wiring diagram indicates the red wires should be connected to the main line power and the yellow wires to the electrically isolated reverse loop. Double check to see verified it is wired correctly.

Are you sure the module is wired right...inputs to layout track, outputs to the loop?

DCC Revers Loop problem
Posted by xxclaude on Friday, April 1, 2016 11:21 AM

I am building my first layout and have built an 18' x 2' shelf layout with a reverse loop at one end (4' x 4').  It is DCC powered (NCE Power Cab).  All the area outside the loop works fine, but when the loco tries to enter the loop, it stops.  I have installed an MRC auto reversing module, but the loco still stops when it tries to enter the loop.  The loop is completely insulated on both ends and there are no other power feeders to the loop except for the auto reversing mod.  When I place the loco inside the loop, there is no power.  I have checked and double checked the bus and feeders and all looks OK.  Any suggestions as to what I can try to fix this problem?  Thank you.
