Everything I have read in this forum is that new Walthers Shinohara 83's are DCC friendly and Shinohara code 100's are not.
I can't seem to google the shinohara website. Maybe they are and it's an Internet myth that they are not but I would not assume anything.

I have one of these in Code 83. I'd assume they're pretty much the same. Mine is DCC friendly and says so on the packaging. Here's one picture with the 3-way turnout on the lower right side of the picture.
Click on the picture for a larger view, at least in Firefox.
And another with it more to the left side, but it's all within the frame here..
The turnout measures 13 1/2 inches along the straight path, and edge-to-edge at the widest part it's 3 3/4 inches.
It has metal frogs. I drive the points with Tortoise machines and power the frogs with the contacts on the Tortoises.
And welcome aboard!
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
I don't believe any of Shinohara's code 100 switches are DCC ready. None of the ones I have bought recently have been. But they work fine on DCC. Just leave a gap between the switch and the track at the 'output' of the switch. Just have the 'throat' connected to the track.
Is the Shinohara HO 108 code 100 #6 3-Way Turnout Dcc friendly? I would also like a footprint drawing is available.
Thanks
