Seen that issue in the Bachmann forums before. I have some Bachmann steamers. Not all Bachamnn tenders have that issue. Some will not swivel all the way but probably cannot see that in the parts diagram, only the insulated wheel.

DigitalGriffin One of your tender truck wheels may be reversed. OR IF one of your tender axels came out you put it in backwards. Only an ohm meter will know for sure.(Also applies to lead and trailing trucks that have wipers)

Thanks, I didn't know that one side of each wheel was insulated until I looked at another page trying to figure out how to tell that they were reversed and it pointed out that one side of each wheel had an insulator on the inside. After that I took a gander at the exploded parts diagram and figured out which way they turned. Now the thing is "dirty" and it runs as normal. Thanks again for the help.

So today I decided to finally weather one of my steam engines (a Bachmann HO DCC mogul to be exact) and I cleaned off the wheels with a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol (couldn't get the drivers rotated all the way mind you) and now every time I try to run it I get a short circuit as soon as I turn my controller on. What the heck is going on and causing this annoyance, and what do I do to fix it?
