Digitrax also has a couple of stationary decoders that work with Kato powered turnouts. The DS64 operates up to 4 turnouts and the DS51K1 operates one turnout. These might be more economical than the NCE decoder.

I use the NCE  Switch-Kat for my Kato HO turnouts. Easy to install and work great.

Accept my apologies then, all caps is Internet code for shouting in just about any forum you can think of, but it was unfair of me to assume that everyone should know that.

Kato turnouts do NOT work the same at Atlas. Kato turnouts use a pulse DC, the polarity determines which way the switch machine moves. Atlas have two coils plus a common wire, and which coil gets activated determines which way the switch machine moves.

To make your own controls for kato, you need momentary contact DPDT toggles wired as reversing switches. Or a DPDT toggle wired as a reversing switch combined with a momentary contact pushbutton.

I am not shouting. I just thought that someone was online and if I have to order something tomorrow would be perfect to order for next weekend.

DOES ANYBODY THINK THAT THIS WILL STOP THEM FROM WORKING AND WHAT ORDER DOES THE WIRES GO BUY. PLEASE SUGGEST YOUR LEFT HAND TO RIGHT LOOKING STRAIGHT AT IT FROM THE OUTSIDE AND THE HOOK UP TO A ATLAS CONTROLLER.

I am eliminating the switch boxes that came with my kato switches and replacing them with connectors and normal switch controls will it work?
