Thanks. I will try that. Wiring to just one turnout and the track, my loco keeps stopping when it crosses the frog so I ordered the stuff Atlas had on the track plan but wasn't sure Looking at that diagram.
Thanks again.
Don't split the wire. Along the top where the wires circled in green are, there are two terminals. One would go to 1, the other to 1C on the first position. On the second position, one goes to 2 and the other to 2C, etc.
On the track plan, the connection points should be marked and labeled. It's much easier than if they actually drew every single wire in, there's be lines all over the track plan.
This really has nothign to do with DCC - you'd hook it up the same way if you had a DC power pack.

Hi all,
So I am trying to do a simple layout based off of Atlas HO Layouts for Every Space. Layout number 13. It is a simple oval with a switch. I decided to simplify it by just adding a siding to test my wiring out. I am totally confused about how to wire.
I am using a Zephyer and I have some questions on wiring.
1. What is the common rail? Is it the outer rail or inner rail?
2. The part marked in red on the attached photo, do I have a wire the splits, one going to the #205 connector and the others going out to different locations on the track? Or is it just one wire going to the #205.
3. The part marked green, is that just one wire going to parts of the track? And what parts would that be? I see where it goes off of the Atlas track plan just dont understand what rail.
I have googled trying to find something that would answer these questions but dont know if I am putting in the correct search terms.
