CV8, enter 8. Cycle power. I have the Power Cab and Bachmann locos. Front and rear lights should blink a number of times for a successful reset.

Loco will then operarte on address 3.

Got this answer from the Bach-Man in the Bachmann forums sometime ago.

Same for Bachmann no sound decoders which are low end Lenz or the on board Tsunami.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

If it is not a decoder with sound then
Use Program Track Option 2 – Change any CV in the decoder
CV 8, enter 8

Resetting decoder to factory defaults
Posted by wblock on Thursday, October 15, 2015 1:41 PM

I am very much a novice at this and have apparently done something wrong in setting up a loco with a Bachmann decoder. It worked for a moment, I did something else (I'm not sure what) and now it does not respond at all.

It was suggested to me on the main discussion board that I should re-set it to factory defaults, but I have no idea how to do that. I have an NCE PowerCab system.

  Thanks.
