I had a bit of a tough time finding a 6 wire COILED cable and, last I checked, NCE doesn't make one.

Here's something to be aware of:  The reason NCE doesn't sell a 6-wire coiled cable is because the flat cable is a heavier gauge.  Since the Power Cab is also the command station and booster, the track power flows through the 6-wire cable.  By using the smaller gauge coiled cable, you could, esepcially if you use a longer cable, run into issues of excess voltage drop or problems with short circuit protection.

Thanks Guy and Dave!

Robert, I left it powered all day, running off and on, and everything works exactly the same as before.  I am very pleased.  I do understand what you are saying, but I'm not experiencing anything out of the ordinary.

Check out Litchfield Station, they have a coiled cable for the PowerCab with heavier wire. Just look under the Cords and Cable listing.

For those keeping score at home, I have been running trains and using the Digitrax coiled cord for the last several weeks.  All I can say is, it works exactly like I had hoped for.  I'm not sure why I would need something with heavier wire (?) since I can run two locos MU'ed all day long and everything works like it should.

I couldn't be happer with my purchase!

Chuck,

After more than one year and a half using this cord with the PowerCab, are you still happy with this cord?
