That's exactly what I'm looking for!  Hope the actual P/S is not 230V as shown in the picture.

Thanks for the info.  I've decided to buy a step-up voltage transformer converter.

I Googled the system and here is one link. This guy opened up the case for his. The output voltage is 2.9 VDC. I suspect a couple 1.2 VDC rechargeable batteries in each vehicle. Batteries would be in series.

Like Randy said, will not work. Not for USA mains which is 120 VAC.

Universal packs as Randy mentioned are for USA and EU, UK voltages. They will have a label of 120 to 230 or so.

USA is 60 Hz but that is not an issue.

There are step down transformers, 230 to 120, but very expensive compared to buying a wall wart.

What output voltage is the present pack for? AC or DC? You mentioned current but no volage.

Only it's a universal type power supply and not just a simple transformer. It should say on it what the input range is - if it says 100-240V or something like that, a simple plug adapter is good. But if it only says 230V, it's not going to work. Half the input voltage = half the output voltage and it will never charge the cars.

I received a transformer with my Faller car system to recharge the cars.  It's 230V with the 2-pin Euro plug.  Will a Euro to USA adapter plug work dispite the drop from 230V to 110V?
