zstripe I just did a little searching around on the Intermountain site out of curiosity and found that the number You listed F7 #6326 is a SP engine Intermountain stock #49002 made in 07, which they state did not come with a DCC Decoder installed before 2011, only DCC ready.

The current releases with DCC but no sound are using ESU LokPilot. You can figure out what your decoder is by reading CV8 and then checking against the NMRA manufacturer list here: http://www.nmra.org/manufacturer-id-numbers

Definitely has a decoder, since I was able to program the address and run it on DCC.

I did a google of this but couldn't really find the info I was looking for. I have a new Intermountain F7, the non sound version, #6326, but I'm not sure what decoder Intermountain uses for their non sound locomotives? I want to program the upper headlight with a Mars light effect. Thanks for any help.
