After, years and years of collecting trains and etc, I finally have a place I can run them. And unaware I didnt buy any track.....anyways.
A couple years ago I got a commander atlas/generator, controller and two plug ins for the controller.
After eading instructions and everything, I am still a bit unclear here:
A: what am I using to connect the commander to the Universal Control panel? Where can you get it?
B: What am I using to connect the generator to the commander?
C: What do I use to connect the commander to a piece of terminal track, or am I even using terminal track at all? (can I just wire to flex track)
Here is how I usually find a quick answer. You might have to look around a little.
Also gives me links I can store.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
A: Based on the info I can find, you'd use a Lenz ExpressNET 6-conductor cable, available from anywhere that sells Lenz DCC systems (The Commander is a rebadged, low-end Lenz system). It appears to just be a 6-conductor phone cable with RJ45 connectors, so you can probably make it yourself if you have the proper tools and wiring specs. However, the Hand Command manual seems to imply that a 7-foot, non-coiled cable is included with the UPC.
B: Per the manual, 18-20 gauge stranded wire.
C: Again, per the manual you'd use the wire supplied with rail joiner connectors, or 18-20 gauge stranded wire if you're not using the wired joiners. Terminal track vs. wiring directly to a piece of flex track vs. wired joiners is your decision.
