Waynes-trains is back on-line now.

Elmer.

The above is my opinion, from an active and experienced Model Railroader in N scale and HO since 1961.

(Modeling Freelance, Eastern US, HO scale, in 1962, with NCE DCC for locomotive control and a stand alone LocoNet for block detection and signals.) http://waynes-trains.com/ at home, and N scale at the Club.

A while ago I found a neat article on the web describing how a guy built "laterns" on the headblock ties of his turnouts using some styrene strip and bi-color LEDs. After fabricating a mount for the LED and gluing the LED to the mount, he painted the entire assembly black. After the paint dried, he used a small drill to drill away small holes in the black paint covering the LED. The holes were located at 4 points on the LED coresponding the two faces of the main route, and two more at 90º. The effect was that of a latern. I thought I had downloaded the file, but now can't find it. I need a few details from the article, and was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction to find the article. I have Googled it every way I can think of, but can't find it again.

Update - I found it, or at least where it used to be. The Web Site (Wayne's Trains) had it, but the site is now under construction (revamping).
