cacole The main problem is, that Bachmann power supply is too weak. You need a totally separate AC power supply for the turntable because it is made to operate on AC power, not DC.

It can operate on both AC or DC. The power from the AC gets rectified to DC inside the unit.

Hello,
I bought a bachmann starter kit a few years ago and since last year I have added to it quit a bit. I have a roundhouse yard and double track. The problem I am having is I just received my Atlas controller and connector switches. I started wiring up and if I hook up my turntable motor to the switch and then to the power supply it wont work but if I hook it up to the power supply directly it runs just fine but pulls power from the main line. I know the Bachmann has the main connector hub and Atlas uses wire screws and connectors. Any advice would be good.
