I would like to know about pc operating program that are avalible for n scale layout running multiple locomotive fully automatically plus easy set up I would like to add a camera to some of my locomotives and would like to know about the minimum specifications for the pc to be able to run properly thank you

If trains can run on routes that don't cross one another, I doubt a PC is needed.

If the routes cross one another, I would think train detection would be necessary to measure both speed and position with more precision that simple block occupancy.  It looks like JMRI supports interfacing to Bruce Chubb's C/MRI could be used for train detection.   But I don't know how far JMRI can support automated operation.

I think it would require a knowledge of electronics and software or JMRI and be quite a project to both build and maintain, in addition to building a layout.    There may be some semi autonomous operation that may be interesting learning experiences.

LION runs eight trains at once. they all follow one another, but there is an operating block system that keeps them from rear-ending each other.

Route of LION is fully automated, but is an analog automation with NO COMPUTERS. LIONS like relays that go CLICK. him can see what they are doing, with no mystery chips. But then route of LION has almost 300 relays on it already.

LIONS do not do things half way. : )
