Thanks, I will try reversing the wires. Currently, when the engine crosses the double insulated rails between the crossover switches, the engine wants to run backwards buts the controller shorts out. If reversing the wires dosen't solve the problem, would adding a second Digitrax AR1 reversing module work?
The inside loop is possibly wired in reverse phase for DCC operation. If you can, try reversing the wires that go to the inside loop and see if that cures the problem.
I'm new to the forum and hope this is the right place to find some help with a problem I have encounted converting my old Atlas N-Scale N-18 layout from DC to DCC. The problem is in the reversing loop. I added a Degatrix AR1 auto reversing module that works great thru the wye and outside upper loop. When the train gets to the double insulators that separate the switches(2) that takes the train to the inside loop to complete the reversing loop, the Digatrix Zephyr DCC controler shorts out. I've tried using an Atlas 210 reversing switch and my original Atlas 215 selector switch with the same results. I followed the Atlas basic DCC wiring diagram for converting the N-18 layout from DC to DCC with the exception of adding the automatic reversing module. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
