As long as the speaker frame is seated all around you don't need any gaskets or sealer at all.

Genesis speaker housing

Hello, is a gasket a requirement when installing a 28mm speaker in the metal frame speaker housing of the Athearn Genesis? Or would a neatly applied coating of Pliobond or Silicone work as well?

Also could you have the speaker metal touch the frame directly and coat just the edge of the driver (back) side to the frame? What is the best practice for this?

thanks!
