"B" as in "B"achmann e-z track.
As some folks here will know I just converted my layout from DC to DCC. I used my old power-loc track and connected it to the DCC controllers. It works fine (in my eyes anyhow) but I now have the option to replace some of the layout with Bachmann e-z track.
It would take a while to remove the existing track and then a lot more time to lay the new e-z track. What I need to know is - would this be worth the effort. Does e-z track (nickel silver) have any advantages / disadvantages over my (steel) power loc track. I'm most interested in knowing if the DCC will work better or have better conductivity on the nickel silver track - or maybe it might be worse. Are the rail connectors on the e-z track more reliable than the copper connectors on power-loc?
Anyhow, I'm hoping to get a few pointers before I start ripping track up.

NS track is better. Steel will corrode and need much more cleaning than NS.
Try not to use quotes in the subject line. The software in this forum does not like it.
There is an active Bachmann forum with company reps. The Bachmann site has forums for different scales with loads of other useful data for Bachmann products.

I have been following the Bachmann forums as long as they have existed as I have some Bachmann locos. If you don't want to join, you can still search the forums. They have a little better search function than the Kalmbach forums, at least for me.
Bachmann has come a long ways. Some old timers would not agree but I have some locos from long ago and the present ones are much better.
A company rep with a couple small layouts and display stuff is usually at train shows.
Some users have posted to the Bachmann HO scale forum about EZ track if you have any question. Don't remember any specifics as I don't use their track.
They have DC turnouts, twin coil, and DCC turnouts, decoder operated.
I thought more about this. If no issues, keep what you have.
If you can put your old track on e-bay and buy a new steam loco, then you have one heck of a lot of track!
Nickle Silver is 1000% better than steel.
