I called DigiTrax today and had the guy step me through how to reset the system. there was multiple steps and I quite frankly do not remember all of them so I can do it on my own next time. The only thing I know for sure is closing switch number 39. I know the DT 402 has to be hooked up directly to the unit and not the local net. When it comes to the rest, I do not remember all the steps and the proper order. Could someone shoot me a list in order on how to do that? Thanks, Rob
Disconnect any loconet cables on the front of the unit
Plug in the DT402 to the A port
Set the toggle on the right to Op
Press the Switch key on the DT402
Enter the number 39.
Press Closed
Turn off the power to the DCS100
Put the right toggle to Run
Reconnect the Loconet
Power back up.
If you have a DCS100 you're going to want to change some other OpSw values, because OpSw 39 resets everything to factory default so you will have only 22 slots, not 120. If you have a DB150, nothing else to do.
You shouldn;t have to do this unless things get very messed up. If it's just because you are getting a slot=max message, just dispatch your locos when you are done. Make sure they are at speed 0, with all functions turned off, and press Loco then Exit before selecting a new one.
In the back of the manual is a section on what OpSw settings there are and how to change them, the steps are listed there as well.
