The Quantum Engineer only works with QSI decoders. Here's QSI's web site   Joe

I have a 2004 or so Lifelike P2K E6 that came sound equipped with a QSI Quantum.  I acquired another, slightly older I think, DC P2K E6 and added a LokSound Select and speakers. The intent was to consist them.  On the audio aspects, the new LokSound is superior to the Quantum sound.  But I can't compare to the newer QSIs and I'm unfamilar with DC sound operation.

hi group. i'm very new at this DCC thing. i run a DC only layout. however, have a couple of Proto engines with QSI sound which i access with the Quantum Engineer controller. it's good enuff for me. have to get decoder installed in quick-plug engine for sound. must it be QSI? or will another brand work with Quantum? what's this Titan decoder all about? do they make one for an Athearn SD40 [B&O/Chessie]? any info appreciated. regards, michael.
