Delete the old loco, select the loco, go to edit and select delete, then start fresh with the new.

Decoder Pro & changing decoders
Posted by jcopilot on Sunday, January 18, 2015 7:33 PM

I've got an old Soundtraxx PlugnPlay in a Bachmann Consol that I want to replace with a Tsunami.  I can remove the PNP and connect the Tsunami, no problem.  But I don't know what to expect from Decoder Pro.

Of course, there's an existing file for the consol with all the functions and values for a PNP.  Do I put the engine on the programming track and open the existing file?  Then read the decoder?  I don't want to create another file with a slightly different name, I want to replace the existing file.

Or delete the old file and just start anew with the Tsunami?  I'm not familiar with deleting decoder files.  Is it pretty straightforward?

Any help would be appreciated.

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.
