Walthers dcc turntable
Posted by Missouri Pacific BNSF on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 7:48 PM

Guys, I just got a walthers dcc turntable for Christmas and am having problems with err1 continuing to show up. I have cleaned and checked all points and connections, still nothing. Could I have it wired wrong coming into the control panel? There are 4 positions and I have 1 and 4 wired to one track and 2 and 3 wired to the opposite track, is this incorrect? That is what I thought the instructions said to do, but maybe I am seeing it wrong. Any help?

Your wiring is correct, but the polarities may not match the booster output.

Reverse the wiring to the control box.  Flip the 1 and 4 connections to 2 and 3, and flip 2 and 3 connections to 1 and 4.

If by "track" you mean that 1 and 4 are wired to one rail or bus wire and 2 and 3 are wired to the second rail or bus wire, you are correct.
