You have to remember to check the little black dot on your DT400 display. Blinking means track power iis on but DCC packets are suspended. Trains don't move but the lights and sounds continue. Press Power then + until the dot is on steady. Not sure where the dot is? Turn on Functions 11 and 12. It's right between the 11 and 12 on the screen.

Another issue that is funny sometimes is when on Tsunami's F11 is on and guys wonder why the loco won't move.  It has sound and lights but won't move.

Many forget that it's tied down with F11

Nice thing with Digitrax DT402, it displays which Function Keys are engaged.  Big Smile

It's easy to push a button, any button accidentally. Especially in some of those contorted positions we hold them in while doing Operations switching. (under the arm, etc.) Been there, done did it again :-)

Ken, this thread gives me comfort. Sometimes I realize my brain is in standby mode and once I get that back up and running the solution is staring me in the face.DunceSighLaugh

Some Times I wish I Never Went DCC and this is one of them!  Bang Head

I run HO scale with a Digitrax Empier Builder, DT 400 Throttle, PR3 and use JMRI and the DT 400 to run the trains from my computer.

Layout was running just fine, excpet the my B&O SD 7 and 8 needed there wheels to be cleaned. Unpluged my DT400 from my PR3 and headed to the layout. Plugged it but could not get the SD 7 and 8 to move? Tried another engine, nothing. OK, DT 400 has been a pain before, so I unpluged it and try using JMRI, still nothing? Bang Head I have power to the layout, sound decoders are making sound, but none of the engines will move?

I have shut down the DB 150 a couple of times and restarted, engine sounds but nothing will move. Shut down JMRI, same results. Restarted JMRI, and still nothing has changed. Just unhooked the PR 3 from the computer, hooked the DT 400 into the DB150 and still all I get is sound?

I even tried a engine that was not on the layout at the time, still it will not move? Any ideas besides a 2 pound hammer?

Boy, DC was so much easier.

 Confused Ken wondring again?
