Moveing function or remap ????
Posted by jwar41 on Saturday, October 4, 2014 9:53 AM

Installed Tsunami sound decoder (hard wired) in a Intermountain F7. I added front led for headlight and used the green wire for the numberrboards as I want them independent from the head lights as it is dimmable.

Problem. When dimming head light the numberboard go out (green wire turns off). I could use the purple wire but would rather add truck lights to it later.

Question...can I remap so that the number board function can be fully independent from any other function

Was my first install and went rather well. On another project I had seperate number board, dimmable headlight, truck light and mars, Like the apearand of just haveing the numberboards lit when in the engine terminal.

Thanks in advance for your replys.

Yes, you should be able. Did you install the TSU-1000? Here is a link to the Soundtraxx manual, function mapping is on pages 25-26.

It appears that if you want to have the number boards on F6, program CV 40 to 4. FYI, my Intermountain ES44AC with DCC/Sound came from the factory with the number boards on F5 and the ditch lights on F6, which are all independent of the headlights on F0.

If it doesn't work, let us know and we'll work through it. At the very least, a phone call to Tech Support at Soundtraxx will get 'er done!

Congrats.

What did you do to get it to work the way you want it?
