sorry i was not clear,

DCS100 was not acting correctly so

we replaced the battery in the DCS100, I placed it in ops mode to change a few of the switches as suggested.

pluged all the loconet cables back in and then i turned it back to run, pluged the throttle in to the loco net.

pressed the loco button to get a loco, none of the number pressed would come up and if some did it was not the ones i pushed. i removed that throttle thinking it might be a bad throttle and the second one did the same.

somone went by the club yesterday and now it is working.  i think i have a major bug, any thoughts????

And in OPS mode, the Loco button isn't going to work. Mostly just the SWTCH button to select which Op Switch you want to change on the command station.

The mode switch should be in the RUN position. OPS mode is for changing throttle option switches. Putting the mode switch in the OPS position turns off the track power. I only use the OPS position when I use it to clear the command stations memory with option switch 39.

It was in the ops position. I tried 3 different throttles.  Also turned track power and main power on and off

Look at the throttle display. On the right side of the display there is a small dot over the address if that dot is flashing you will have no control. Track power will be on, some sounds will work, but no control. Press the power and  Y+ button until the dot stays on continiuosly. I think that dot is for the loconet and it happens occasionally on my layout and on my clubs layouts.

Is the Mode switch set to RUN and not OPS?

Posted by norcalmodeler on Sunday, August 24, 2014 11:13 AM

Hi everyone,

WE have a club layout and use a DCS100 with three DB150s. yesterday we could not get communication between the DCS100 and the throttle.  I found someone witht the same problem on youtube. "Digitrax DCS throttle problem"

When I push the loco button to aquire a loco nothing happens, pushing numbers nothing happen. also i tried to change some of the op swithces and when i would press a button i would get a different number on the screen.

throttle is plugged into the DCS100 and all other loconet cables unpluged.

thanks for you help
