My favorite web site for calculating CV29 values:

Normally increasing or decreasing the amount in CV 29 by 1 will reverse the engine's "normal" direction. If you mean that when you do that, it doesn't work, I would check the manual for the decoders involved to see if they have a different process for doing it.
Thanks David. All I do is add a 1 to the value and it does the trick.
I was almost right, but was using a 1 instead of adding a 1.

Hi,
This is a rookie question, but I'm in need of basic programming help..........
I set up a test track/work station away from the layout using a Digitrax Zephyr for power. I easily reset the loco numbers of a BLI ABBA consist, and then attempted to reverse the natural direction of one A unit and one B unit (so they could run together in the ABBA configuration.
As I recall, CV29 is the cv that will do this. But I can't seem to get it to work.
So my questions are, Am I using the correct CV? And What value should I put in it?
Sorry to pester you guys with this basic stuff, but its been over a year since I've done this and the memory retention ain't what it used to be...............
Thank you!
