THANKS YES I HAVE RETURNED THEM, THE MRC SERVICE DEPT HAS NOT RETURNED MY EMAIL. I WOULD EXPECT THEM TO BE FLAWLESS HAVING POWERPACKS FROM THEM FOR 30 YEARS. THEY WILL BE GLAD TO KNOW IM ENTERING DCC WITH THE NCE BRAND.......
The only MRC products I have are DC throttle packs. The first one I bought, made in the USA, still works flawlessly, but a newer model, made in China, has gone bad after very little use (but is out of warranty). You're the first person to mention the QC problem with a 1201 on these forums.
If these were both purchased new in that condition, I'd send them back to the place of purchase and ask for a refund or replacement.
IN THE PICTURE OF THE 1201 THE MIDDLE ITEM HAS A COOLING FAN IN IT. I BOUGHT 2 OF THEM FROM DIFFERENT SORCES AND BOTH THE FAN WAS LOOSE AND NOT SCREWED DOWN. IT LOOKS LIKE A 2 YEAR OLD DID THE WORK,SOME PARTS ARE BROKEN, THANKS PERRY
What, exactly, do you mean when you say "quality construction issues" that you're having a problem with. More information on how you have it hooked up would help.
