I received a good answer as to how to use a circuit to activete an actual bell (cheap door bell). However, one of the replies suggested the use of an electronic bell, such as the one in the MRC sound system, (NOT a real bell) so I could adjust the volume. Sounded like a good idea but I could not locate one by my internet search. Therefore, I came back to the experts for help. Skip
Why are you asking again when your question has been answered in your other post about using a door bell for a grade crossing --
Take a look at Circuitron's web site. They list...in their downloadable pdf catalog, a ready to use bell circuit that sounds like it might be in line with what your looking for.

Can anyone recommend a good source for an electronic bell circuit diagram, kit or ready to use unit? I need it for a railroad crossing application. Thanks, Skip
