Thanks Maxman. I would never have figured that out. I will try it and see. Right now I don't get the part about selecting the number of recalls. Do I enter the amount of addresses or the quantity of addresses? When pushed twice for recall, will all locos stored come up sequentilly with each push?

If the 06R works the same as the Powercab or Procab, the loco addresses should come up in the same order as entered, not in numerical loco number order.  So if you enter 4 numbers (3000, 1000, 6000, 4000), that's the way they should be recalled.  They won't appear as 1000, 3000, 4000, 6000.   However, if you replace one of the locos, it will come up in the rotation in the same place as the unit it replaced.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Do I enter the amount of addresses or the quantity of addresses?"  I think they're both saying the same thing.  In any case, what it is asking you is how many recalls do you want.  If the 06R allows 6 recalls, then you can enter any number from 1 to 6.

One recall comes in handy when you have some non-trainable button pushing individual over and you don't want him/her doing any more damage than can be helped.

EDIT:  I changed the minimum number of recalls from zero to 1.  One recall makes more sense than zero, because you'd never be able to have a loco come up on the handset otherwise.  (Plus I just came up from the basement after confirming that the system would accept an entry of 1 recall.)

Bruce,

In order to change the number of recalls on your Power Cab or ProCab throttle, you have to go into the Programming mode.  If you click on this link, the process is described near the bottom of the page underneath Recall stack default at "2".

To answer your question, Bruce, you enter the total number of recalls you want to display in your recall stack.  (From 2 to 6 on the Power Cab).  Whichever number you enter will be the total number of addresses stored for recall.  If you enter "4" then four addresses will display (one at a time) each time you press the RECALL button before repeating.

To replace an address in the stack, just enter a new address using the SELECT LOCO button.  It will replace the last address displayed on the LCD screen before you changed to the new address.  All locomotive addresses you've entered into your throttle are still there.  They just aren't in the recall stack.

Personally, I just keep my recall stack set at either 2 or 3.  Any more than that becomes annoying, as you have to press the RECALL button more times in order to get to the address that you want.  At some point it gets faster to press SELECT LOCO then enter the address.

I've got both controllers. I don't bother stacking in the Cab06, as it just confuses me without having the more complete info in the hammerhead.Confused

With cab 06R holding down the shift key  and pressing the direction key three times sets the number of recalls.  Holding down the shift key and pressing the direction key one time does the recall.  See appendix A (page 10) at following link: http://ncecorporation.com/pdf/Cab06.pdf.

The hammerhead has a recall button.

Is it possible to recall the adresses of locos with the cab06R? How about the hammerhead?
