Thank you! It works great now.

The timbers beneath the rails are not the only ties that bind on the railroad.

Some locos have two DCC connectors,an eight and a nine pin with jumpes. You have to remove the jumper from the one that's no used.

"DCC Ready" Athearn RTR?
Posted by Acela026 on Sunday, January 19, 2014 11:49 AM

I'm having a problem with installing DCC in an Athearn RTR AC4400 that is "DCC Ready". I have an ESU LokSound Select decoder with an 8-pin NMRA plug, but when I plug it in to the circuit board already in the locomotive, it just sits there and buzzes like there isn't a decoder at all. Are there any steps I'm missing or a wire I need to connect/disconnect in order to equip this loco with DCC?

Thanks.
