I've been running a NCE CAB06r for about two years now since right when they came out. It's been a good throttle. It came with a chip for the command station in my Power Pro. I read over the documentation quickly and assumed the chip didn't apply. Most things workedand it was only after several months I notced it didn't handle 4-digit loco addresses well, garbling them to something else. Didn't sweat it, figuring it was some system setting I needed to apply
Recently, the CAB06r seemed more sluggish and unresponsive. I decided to play around with the settings, which didn't help any. Then I thought of the chip...
Dug it out and carefully installed in my Power Pro. Wish I'd done that sooner. A nice little throttle is now even better and more responsive than ever. So as ominous as it sounds, it's OK - take the chip.
You'll be pleased.
