hello
I live in the U.K.
I have been having some problems locating replacement bulbs for my Proto 2000 SD50 locomotive collection ready for Dcc sound fitting,
but I have been unable to find anywhere that sells them around here,
can anyone help please ?
cheers
Dan
Why not just replace the incandescent bulbs with LEDs?

Dan,
I'm assuming, you are speaking of HO, if so,you may find this helpful:

Cheers,

arr good point ill look in to it thanks
hi Frank
that's great thank you , yes they are HO
thank you
That link that Frank provided shows the LED used in the conversion. Here is what it says.
This Proto 2000 locomotive uses 1.5V , 26mA bulb (pictured above) so 400 Ohm , 0.5 Watt resistor is needed . For the purpose of this installation we decided to use TCS Sunny White LEDs that are bright , have long life and are easy to work with. We use 680 Ohm resistor for each LED (one for the front and one for the reverse light) with 0.25 Watt ratting.
TCS makes an LL8-LED that works with LEDs without your having to add separate resistors.

Edit: Or you can get the incandescent replacement bulbs from Walthers-call or write to them.
ok thank you I will look into it and see which comes up the best ,
How far are you from,Manchester,UK. I have a friend, from the Forums, who lives there.
