I just got a new MRC Prodigy Advance 2. Testing it today with 2 locos and function F5 and above does not work.Function 0(lights) and F1 to F4 work fine. Anyone have this problem? Sending it back to Amazon for a new one!
What brand decoders? Are they sound decoders? Joe
One loco is a Athearn Genesis GP38-2 w/sound and a Atlas Gold with sound. When I press F8 it does not mute the sound. Any function above F4 does not work or the link light flicker.

Before sending the unit in try setting the Master Cab by pressing SYS,6,1 and ENTER. Make sure you have no other Master Cab in the system (no other throttle). Hope this works for you.

I tried that also! Tried a different cable and a other hand held control. Same thing.
Just got my replacement Prodigy. Works great! Nice blue lit display on the controller.
