Zephyr with DB100 booster. Has been sufficient so far. But, am thinking of upgrading to newer db 150 booster.
P/R has nothing to do wiuth programming.
What nicky seems to have aquired is an old DB100 booster. P/R sets the booster to be an autorevering booster, regular RUN is just a normal booster, OFF turns off track power.
Section 6.9 of the old Big Boy system instruction manual documents the Mode switch.

Sounds like you have a Digitrax booster the pr stands for programing. It comes in handy when you come across a stubborn decoder, your manual should have all the info you need as to how and when to use it. There is a Yahoo group that has the Digitrax forum, here is the address for it http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Digitrax/messages there is always some one to answer your questions, a good group to belong to for all the info you will need. Jim
Nicky:
It would be helpful if you specified what booster you have.

On the front of the booster you have a toggle switch that goes, OFF, P/R , RUN. what is the P/R for. Can not find info in manual or over looked it. Also what can it be used for while operating the layout.
