You can probably tweak them good enough, mainly by working on the motor controls in the non-sound unit. It might be easier though to get a good BEMF decoder for it, since the Loksound has excellent BEMF. You do not need to use a Loksound without speakers - ESU has Lokpilot which are the same as Loksound without the sound, if you want to exactly match the hardware, but this is probably not necessary.

You should be able to speed match them. There have been multiple threads on how to do this...

Modeling BNSF and Milwaukee Road in SW Wisconsin
I purchased a Lifielike P2K Alco FA-1 and FB-1 units that were DDC ready and wanted to add sound. I purchased a LokSound Select unit which is in the B unit as there was more room for the speakers and an NCED15SRP decorder which is in the A unit. My problem is derailments with the A unit when they are running together. It appeares the B unit is more sensitive, starts sooner then the A unit and appears to be running faster when they are operated together and are not coupled. Ie, the B unit is pushing the A unit. when together.
My questions:
1. Can these two decoders be speed matched?
2. If not do I have to put a LokSound unit in the A without the speakers.
Thanks for your help.
