Yes.  The Prodigy wireless throttles do not communicate by wire when plugged in.  The cable is only used for charging, not communication, so the throttle will still have to rely on the wireless signal.

I have Prodigy wireless, but there are some spots on the layout where the signal is blocked. I want to put in the 1501 extension plate, but it is a longer distance than the cable that comes with it. I cannot find anywhere what type of cable it is to use so I can get a longer one to reach the extension plate. Anyone know? Are there any other issues i should know about when installing this plate? I will have less than the 6 throttles.
