Thats funny, the DCC twin is advertised on page 17 of the january MRHuh?

MR has advertised lots of products before they are actually available.  The publishers don't have the time or resources to research every advertised item to see if it's really in stock or not.

Consider it a promotional advertisement.

Rich, no prob, at least we now know.

The NCE DCC Twin seems pretty cool in the right situation.

Yeah, Litchfield just told me it was not available. I was wondering why the Cart page took so long to open when I tried to order. They do not seem to keep their page updated, just like the NCE website page.

Initially the Twin was looking available.

My bad.

If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.

Good idea. Wait until it is available and pay $160.

Rich

Rich,

That was not the point that I was trying to make.

I was not suggesting that it be purchased through Walthers.

I simply referenced Walthers web site to see if it was available.   If it were generally available, you could tell by looking at the Walthers web site.  My sense is that it is not yet available for purchase.

I agree with you that when it is available, it can be purchased elsewhere at a discount.

Walthers lists its availablity as "unknown" which means that it has not shipped yet.

The below link might offer some info.

Save the link to Favorites. Mark is in some of the Yahoo DCC Groups.

Litchfield Station seems to have it for $116.95 . I just looked and put it in the shopping cart so I figure it is available. NCE does not keep up that well with its product listings.,

I am sure it has been discussed in the Yahoo NCE DCC Group which is active the last time I looked.

It is just a new product announcement, and may not actually be available yet.  Even NCE's home page doesn't mention it.

NCE DCC Twin
Posted by challenger3802 on Saturday, December 1, 2012 3:35 PM

Hi,

If this topic has already been covered then my apologies!  (It's been a good few years since I last posted anything on these boards).

In the latest Model Railroader there's an announcement about a DCC Twin from the NCE Corp.  I was wondering if anyone had got one of these and could advise if they are worth getting?  I will eventually only have a small layout and seeing as it'll most probably be only me doing the operating, having a 4 to 5 loco (or above) capability isn't something that worries me greatly.

Any help much appreciated,

Ian.
