I didnt get much info on Sw 36 other the fact its not implemented on Xtra though in the manual. It would be nice to have that implemented on a REV if at all possble because SW39 clears everything, meaning any setting you have differently like maybe Xtra set as booster or reverser will resort back to factory settings once SW 39 is executed.Seems tome maybe many folks dont get the FULL otherwise we may have heard about Sw 36 not functional as Sw36 clears the full Address slots..I have a !st generation Zephyr and miss that feature.I hope the REV 4 when posted and available helps the folks out in UK with the short as thats along way to ship Zephyr. Of course you will need a Locobuffer or such to upload to Z Xtra......................if not surely a rr buddy will have one or the hobby store you deal at. Mr ,AJ Ireland from Digirtax was very helpfull and obliging to get this fix. he was on top of it as soon as it got to desk. So top marks to Digitrax for attending to this issue. The short issue if your wondering is when Xtra shorts you get 8888 and shut down no reset and orange power light off.It should be rolling 0000 with loco number and once short fixed power stays on and locos keep going...................no power off and no pushing power button to restart.Keep you posted if i hear any more.Steve
This good info and greatly appreciated, especially since we have had problems with the short circuit protection. Thanks for pursuing this and keeping us informed.

There will be a firmware upgrade available soon. The issue was a timing problem of the short circuit . No hardware issues. The Sw 36 issue is redundant. The Sw 36 was not implemented into the Zephyr Xtra as it was with 1st generation Zephyr It appeared in the manual by mistake. So use SW 39 to clear address slots and reset Xtra. Not all Zephyr Xtras had the short issue only certain combos of Zephyr and the PS 314 power supply. The firmware will be found i on Digitrax soon.................search Firmware and it will take you to the REV upgrades. Use Locobuffer or such to download to your Z Xtra. My unit had strictly 8888 no reset..................i have tested the REV 4 for Digitrax and now get 00000 and reset. 8888 only happens after successive shorts in a row where the power supply may not like the scenario. Thats the short of it.Steve
