I have a small scale layout and would like to change from dc to dcc and would like some input on what system i should have and what is need with the system i want to buy a complete unit.

There are more threads on this topic on this forum than one can shake a stick at.  Just look through the threads for "which DCC system is best", or "which DCC system should I buy", or similar.  There is mountains of information there.

Basically all the current systems are OK and one can say you get what you pay for.    I have Lenz, Digitrax, NCE, and CVP systems.  Oh I guess I also have a couple really old MRCs too.  You can analyze them to death, or just choose the one that has a throttle you like the feel of.  OR You can buy the one that matches the other people in your operating group. ....

The only difference O-scale might make is in the AMP capacity of the system.     The higher current decoders that might be required are independent of the system and can be mixed and matched.
