Does anyone know which Digitrax decoder to use in the Atlas HO scale Trainman Genset? I tried a DH123PS but there just isnt enough room to fit it in and ger the shell back on. Thanks
I'm not familiar with the Atlas HO Trainman Genset but you might consider an N scale decoder. I have always liked decoders from TCS. You might take a look at their N scale M series.
Good luck!
Have you tried an N scale decoder? They're significantly smaller.

Since TCS recommends their DP2X, if you wish to use Digitrax, this would be the DH165IP. I prefer the TCS for better running qualities.

Digitrax DN135PS. I use it in all my Atlas locos (HO scale). Handles the current draw just fine, and it should be small enough to fit in the genset.
For HO scale, it's a good compromise between size, current handling ability, and price.
Thanks for the info, Ill give them a try.
